We purposefully avoid this and similar routers for a few reasons.

Laminate trimmer routers are underpowered. We recommend a router with 1-1/2 to 2-1/4 HP (1100 to 1700 watts). I believe this router is only about 900 watts.

Laminate trimmer routers have very small bases. Trying to maneuver a small base over a jig template will be difficult and result in poor joints.

Laminate trimmer routers have small collets. Case in point, this router only has a 1/4" collet in some countries, other countries it may have an 8mm collet. The TD330 comes standard with 1/2" shanks.
